Kate Chaston

Website Instagram Spotify

Montréal-born, NYC-based singer/songwriter, Kate Chaston deftly engages audiences with earth-toned story-songs, lush tapestries interwoven with shades of jazz and pop. With an expressive musicality and vocal dexterity, Kate moves from warm lows to clear highs and back again, honoring the heroes of her youth—Rickie Lee Jones, Carly Simon, Ella Fitzgerald—while staying true to her own soulful, lyrical, and open sound. Featuring Tony Jarvis on guitar and Gary Wang on bass.

Tony Jarvis is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and composer, playing sax, bass clarinet, guitar, bass, and keyboards. Credits include Sharon Jones & the Dap-kings, Charles Bradley, Fela! on Broadway, The Public Theater, Sleep No More, The Box, and HBO's Treme.

Gary Wang has been playing professionally in New York City for over 25 years, performing, touring and recording with a diverse array of artists including Anat Fort, Taylor Mac, Ben Monder, Ed Cherry, Michael Leonhart, Madeleine Peyroux, and T.S. Monk, Matt Ray and Dana Lyn among many others. He has also played in the Broadway musical Hadestown.

"Kate Chaston’s music resides in a place where New York City cabaret meets Laurel Canyon, a place you will want to visit to hear her stories and feel all the qualities of her unique voice and commanding range." - Scott Sharrard (Little Feat, Gregg Allman Band)
