DM and the Expats' sound is part folk, rock, jazz and soul. The all female trio blends vocally and musically to create emotional soundscapes and catchy melodies behind confessional, observational lyrics. Their obvious joy in playing together balances the music's honest, sometimes harshly, reflections on the aching beauty of life.
